Click2learn adds three new members to its local technical and customer-support teams

<p>Hat trick of new appointments illustrates increasing use of enterprise productivity
software to improve competitive advantage</p>
<p>Sydney, 13 November 2003: Click2learn Asia Pacific has appointed three new senior support staff to its Sydney operations, illustrating the rapid market acceptance of e-Learning as a mission-critical enterprise application. The new appointments are:
- Services Consultant Daniel Royston
- Technical Consultant Ronald Yii
- Support Analyst Tejas Magia</p>
<p>- Daniel Royston: Onsite support at St George Bank
Daniel Royston has been appointed as Services Consultant and will be located onsite at the Kogarah NSW offices of, St George Bank.</p>
<p>He will be responsible for providing technical and product support to St George Bank’s internal e-Learning system, named e-luminate. Based on Click2learn’s Aspen enterprise productivity suite TM, the Bank recently won the Best e-Learning Strategy award at the prestigious Australian 2003 HR Awards.</p>
<p>Daniel joins Click2learn from Micro Fidelio Australia where he served as installation and training specialist.</p>
<p>- Ronald Yii: Senior Austar engineer joins technical team
Ronald Yii is responsible for maintenance of Click2learn’s IT systems, including its hosting environment .</p>
<p>Previously Ronald served as Senior ISP Engineer at Austar Entertainment where he was responsible for product planning, service/software design, integration/migration planning, systems software development, and technical documentation and training.</p>
<p>He has also served in technical consulting and analyst roles at Jigsaw Technology and Microsoft respectively.</p>
<p>Ronald completed his Bachelor of Science (Computer Science) at the University of New South Wales and is a member of both the Systems Administrators Guild of Australia and Australian Computer Society.</p>
<p>- Tejas Magia: Former lecturer takes on Support Desk role
Tejas Magia joins Click2learn to head up the company’s support desk, managing technical interactions with customers and providing second- and third-level helpdesk support.</p>
<p>Prior to Click2learn, Tejas served as senior Internet programmer and consultant for medi+WORLD International, an online advisory service for the global medical profession run by the World Health Organisation (WHO).</p>
<p>Previously he was a lecturer and tutor in the IT department of Monash University, and while at Monash also served on the University’s Wireless LAN Topology team which developed a web-based system of visualising the dynamic state of Monash’s wireless LAN access points.</p>
<p>Tejas holds Master of Information Technology (Monash University) and Bachelor of Electronics Engineering (University of Mumbai) degrees, as well as an Advanced Diploma in web development.</p>
<p>- Response to strong sales performances
The hat trick of appointments reflects Click2learn’s strong sales performances, both in Asia Pacific and globally.</p>
<p>Click2learn’s Aspen Learning Management System (LMS) was recently listed in the leader quadrant in the GartnerGroup’s influential “magic quadrant” for LMSs.</p>
<p>In Asia Pacific, the company continues to exceed revenue targets, grow its user community and recruit new employees. In September, the company opened a Melbourne office and further expansion is planned.</p>
<p>“These three new appointments reflect the growth of e-Learning generally and, particularly, the popularity of Aspen as the only comprehensive, single-platform enterprise productivity suite on the market,” said Click2learn Asia Pacific’s chief executive officer, Con J. Kittos.</p>
