SYDNEY, Australia – Optima Technology Solutions (ASX:OPI), Australia’s largest computer manufacturer, officially opened its new headquarters today, marking its continued expansion in the Australian computer market.

Officially opened by John Della Bosca, Minister of Commerce, the new premises consolidate Optima’s head office, warehouse and production facilities into the one building, streamlining manufacturing processes and enabling it to better support its target of 30 per cent year-on-year growth.

“We have incorporated leading-edge technology into our new premises, allowing us to significantly increase our manufacturing, and research and development capabilities,” said Cornel Ung, Executive Chairman of the Board, Optima Technology Solutions.

“The ability to deliver a new range of innovative, high-quality products at a faster rate, will allow us to effectively grow Optima’s market share and fulfill our ‘3x3’ vision of earning $300 million revenue within the next three years.”

Located in Homebush, the new facility has the ability to produce up to 1,000 personal computers (PCs) per single shift, compared with the 250 PCs Optima was manufacturing at its former premises. The facility will also better support Optima’s new consumer electronics division that focuses on three main product categories - display, mobile entertainment and home entertainment.
