Xylan Corporation is staring down the barrel of modest results for Q4 1998, while the company's local operation boasts 263 per cent growth for the quarter.
The results helped boost Xylan Australia's growth to 330 per cent for 1998, compared to 1997. However the company did not release local sales firgures, deferring to global figures.
According to the company, revenue for the fourth quarter increased to $US97.4 million from $91.1 million in the third quarter of fiscal 1998, an increase of 7 per cent.
Revenue for the twelve months ended December 31, 1998 is reported at $347.6 million, compared to $210.8 million in 1997 - an increase of 65 per cent.
Net income for the fourth quarter was $11 million, or $0.23 per share, compared to $6.6 million or $0.14 per share in the fourth quarter of 1997.
