LAN Systems yesterday announced the signing of a strategic agreement with Fore Systems as the exclusive distributor of its networking and communications equipment.
The move is designed to strengthen Fore's channel relationships and its commitment to the enterprise and service provider markets.
In addition, it is helping to foster a new industry relationships, such as Xylan, which also uses LAN Systems as an exclusive distributor.
Grant Morrison, general manager, Fore Systems Australia, said the agreement with LAN Systems is helping it to foster new industry partnerships.
John Penn, LAN Systems national marketing manager, said the new agreement with Fore allows resellers to offer end users commercial-grade ATM solutions. Initially, Penn is to oversee Fore's introduction to the channel, after which a dedicated product manager is to be appointed.
