MS/DOJ: Judge's decision due on a Friday

Those eager to learn at least part of the outcome of the antitrust lawsuit against Microsoft will have to tune in on future Saturday mornings.

According to a statement posted on the US District Court's Web site, Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson's findings of fact will be issued on a Friday evening at 6:30pm Washington time [9.30am Saturday Sydney time]. Just which Friday evening that may be was not specified.

The statement said that at 4:30pm of the Friday in question, the parties to the case will be informed that the findings will be issued two hours hence.

At 6:30pm, electronic copies of the findings will be distributed to the parties to the case; a limited number of paper copies will be distributed to members of the public inside the John Marshal entrance to the US Courthouse.
