SCO Pacific has launched a new division that offers customers in Australia and New Zealand services and technical expertise for creating and deploying SCO-based solutions.
The new professional services division will offer services for UnixWare on Intel (including migration planning), SCO UnixWare NonStop Clusters, Tarantella, Open Source and Linux SCO OpenServer.
SCO Pacific regional general manager, Brad Scott, said the launch of the services division was a major step towards increasing SCO's marketshare in the enterprise market.
Scott said the new division would position SCO as a leader in the provision of professional services.
"SCO Pacific now has the capability to help enterprise customers with their IT strategy, planning and deployment needs. Our new services will help enterprise customers evaluate and manage the cost, benefits and risk of adding new systems to existing networks," Scott said.
