T2 shares hit the ASX

At 11:30am AEST this morning, another 2.1 billion Telstra shares will begin trading on the Australian Stock Exchange.

Federal Finance minister, John Fahey yesterday released details of the offer which attracted more than 1.6 billion share applications.

Australian investors will pay $7.40 a share and institutions will pay $7.80, Fahey said.

The T2 float brings Telstra's share listing to 16.6 per cent and takes total privatisation to 49 per cent.
