Cabletron has extended the capabilities of its Spectrum network management suite to telephony, in a bid to cash in on the take up of voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP).
The new telephony management solution will enable customers to manage both voice and data infrastructures, and track return on investment in a converged IP environment.
"Voice service delivery is increasingly being seen as the responsibility of LAN/WAN support staff," said David Gabo, director of technology, Cabletron systems.
"Spectrum's voice and data management capabilities deliver end to end control for IT help desk staff."
The Spectrum telephony management solution includes management modules for systems from Ericsson, Lucent, Nortel, Siemens and Cisco.
