A complete back-end solution for online retailers is the result of a joint venture formed between dstore and 3PP, an Australian logistics and joint venture company.
The venture, called e-fill, has dstore and 3PP as joint equity partners. It offers retailers fulfilment, delivery, customer service and an online analysis service.
According to David Gold, CEO of dstore, an online department store: "No other company offers a complete back-end solution to online retailers in Australia. e-fill addresses the needs of all emerging online business from category killers to technology products and shopping malls, and understands the challenges faced by online retailers in the rapidly changing ecommerce environment."
By consulting with international leaders in this field, e-fill has developed the capability to deliver premier specialist fulfilment solutions, the companies claim.
"The strength of e-fill is in our core assets and established expertise. We already exist in large sites in both Melbourne and Sydney, and our experience over our first e-Christmas last year taught us a great deal," said Peter Trumble, 3PP's CEO.
Trumble said the joint venture was working with global players to deliver world-class solutions for all technical, logistical and inventory management aspects of the fulfilment process. He said e-fill had "accelerated" the company's move into ecommerce and assisted the expansion of its fulfilment facilities.
Drawing on its expertise in online shopping, e-fill has introduced a website analysis service designed to identify ways to improve site quality and the online shopping experience.
"Increasing your customer base is ultimately what all ecommerce companies want. An effective way online retailers can achieve this is by identifying ways to maximise traffic to their site and by improving site navigation. e-fill provides the solutions which allow ebusinesses to reach these goals," Gold said.
