Great expectations realised

US enterprise software vendor Great Plains this week announced soaring financial results for the fiscal quarter ended February 29.

The company's revenues for the quarter reached $US48.1 million ($A78.6 million), representing a 34 per cent increase over the same period for 1999.

For the nine months to February 29, Great Plains posted revenues of $US135.3 million ($A221.2 million), an increase of 43 per cent over the same period the previous year.

Having recently launched various ebusiness software products targeted at the midrange market, including Great Plains Siebel Front Office, a joint effort with Siebel Systems, Great Plains now has 27 application service provider distribution relationships in place, two of which are based in Australasia.
