Telco enters Singapore market

Junior Australian telco, Macquarie Corporate Telecommunications has been awarded a carrier licence to operate in Singapore to provide voice, data and online services to corporate customers, specifically multinational companies with operations in both Australia and Singapore. Macquarie officials said the company expects Singapore to be a high growth and high volume market.

Indigenous name change

Australian Palm applications developer, Palm Solutions has changed its name to Yambay, ahead of a push into the international marketplace. Leon Levit, CEO of Yambay said the new name "is indigenous Australian for hand" and "better reflects our Australian roots". The company develops software applications for handheld computing devices. It also provides products to utilities, industrial, manufacturing; real estate; financial services and wireless services sectors.
