Ariba Live 2001 opens in Sydney

Ariba Live 2001 opens in Sydney Monday February 19 as part of the company's B2B world tour covering seven cities across five continents.

The B2B band-wagon has seen rapid growth for Ariba in Australia during the past twelve months.

Earlier this month the company announced an expansion of its Sydney and Melbourne offices to accommodate 27 employees, a 125 per cent staff jump since January 2000.

Ariba global CEO Keith Krach will present the opening keynote Tuesday and will be joined by US Olympic sprinter Michael Johnson and former Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating.

Former Computer Associates Australia New Zealand managing director Allan Smith was recently appointed CEO of Ariba Australia.
