LibertyOne has extended its reach into New Zealand and the web development arena with the acquisition yesterday of NZ Web design and consultancy company Clearview Communications.
"Clearview is a particularly important acquisition as it is the market leader in New Zealand with a first class client base, an excellent brand and a strong reputation across most industries," said LibertyOne's chief executive officer, Warren Lee.
"It is also well established, having generated solid revenues and good margins since opening its doors in 1995."
In an undisclosed deal the developer, already the parent of Zivo and the Internet Research Group, expects Clearview will expand its presence in the Asia Pacific region.
"There is a clear opportunity in this region to create a leading, world class web solutions group. While the Internet in Australia and New Zealand is beginning to mature, it is entering a period of hyper-growth in greater Asia and the web solutions business provides an excellent point of entry into these markets," said Lee.
Generating $NZ50 million a year in revenue, Clearview concentrates on the corporate market in a range of industries such as publishing, telecommunications, aviation, travel and tourism, financial and professional services, manufacturing, health, education and the public sector.
Clearview will continue to operate independently of LibertyOne, maintaining its own brand image and customer base.www.libertyone.com.au
