Baltimore Technologies has released its next-generation access andauthorisation solution SelectAccess 3.0.
The user authorisation product for Internet-based applications includesenhancements to its personalisation, security and audit control features.
Baltimore's SelectAccess business manager for the Asia Pacific, Martin Creighansaid despite the obvious correlation between access, authorisation ande-business success, many businesses are still focusing on antivirus and hackerprotection, limiting security to the role of reactionary protector.
"This is a small component of the scope and capabilities security can bring toan e-business. Access and authorisation are enabling tools that offer newdelivery and transaction mechanisms to facilitate new revenue streams and costsavings," he said.
SelectAccess 3.0 lets administrators supply areas of the Web environment withinformation about the user to create personalised content for specific users orgroups. It also ensures transactions are in accordance with the organisation'ssecurity policies.
The product also has audit control and tamper-proof authentication lettingadministrators track access control policies and audit logs by making use ofdigital signature capabilities. It contains expanded support for LDAP directories and J2EE-enabled application servers for faster implementation dueto out-of-the-box interoperability with leading vendors.
