Labour management solutions provider Kronos has just acquired its largest competitor in Australia making further headway in the local $200 million market.
Kronos has swallowed Melbourne-based applicants provider Australian Timewise Systems (ATS) raising the company's client base to more than 750 companies in the manufacturing, retail and healthcare sectors.
Kronos Australia general manager Peter Harte said this figure incorporates more than 350 ATS customers.
He said the company provides solutions to control and manage labour costs, which account for up to 60 per cent of operating costs.
"Our products are specifically tailored to Australasian conditions to produce a measurable rate of return faster than our competitors, so we are excited by the prospect of introducing our solutions to the ATS customer base," Harte said.
Kronos CEO Mark Ain said the acquisition was part of the company's global strategy to build momentum in markets outside the US.
