Former Lotus head moves to Business Objects

E-business intelligence solutions provider Business Objects, has appointed Peter Taylor as managing director of its Australia and New Zealand operations.

Taylor said the company is number one in the global query and reporting market growing at more than 40 per cent per annum.

"Business Objects is ready to take a stranglehold on the Australia and New Zealand market, with more than 200 corporate customers including blue-chip organisations like AMP, Mercantile Mutual, National Australia Bank, Telstra, Fosters and BP as a base," he said.

"We have increased our staff in ANZ by 33 per cent this year and will be selectively recruiting new partners to add to our evolving channel, which already includes industry heavyweights like IBM, Wizard Information Systems and Tacit Group."

With 12 years experience in the IT industry, Peter was previously at Lotus Development, where he was managing director for Australia and New Zealand for three years.
