As expected, Craig Conway has taken over as PeopleSoft's CEO, immediately replacing founder David Duffield.
PeopleSoft said Conway, 44, will also continue in his current role as president and chief operating officer, overseeing the company's day-to-day operations. He took over those posts in May with the expectation he would replace Duffield in six to 12 months.
As for Duffield, he will remain as chairman of PeopleSoft's board of directors.
PeopleSoft hit hard times this year, struggling through poor financial showings and a period of management turnover. In addition, the company laid off 430 employees in January.
