Ericsson Joins SyncML Initiative

STOCKHOLM (03/03/2000) - Mobile phone and network equipment supplier L.M.

Ericsson Telephone Co. has joined an industry initiative aimed at developing a unified specification for remote data synchronization, the company said in a statement earlier this week.

Ericsson has joined the recently announced SyncML Initiative, which among its founding members counts IBM Corp., Lotus Development Corp., Motorola Inc., Nokia Corp., Palm Inc., Psion PLC and Starfish Software Inc. [See "UPDATE:
