The acquisition gives Oracle an edge in the migration to devices, applications and services running on all-IP networks. Oracle plans to integrate Acme’s offerings with its own communications product portfolio. Based in Bedford, Mass., Acme Packet has more than 1,900 customers in 100 countries served by five overseas offices.
