The battle for 4G LTE wireless supremacy heated up in 2012, as AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and others took to TV, radio, the web and anywhere else that would put up with them to make their claims for having the biggest, fastest and fanciest network. The carriers have invested and are investing billions to upgrade their networks, as the U.S. has become one of the fastest-growing 4G markets.
