Apple vs. eMachines
In 1999, Apple sued eMachines, alleging that its eOne PC infringed upon the iMac’s trade dress. Indeed, the eOne sported the same translucent blue design as the original Bondi Blue iMac. EMachines soon agreed to stop producing the eOne PC as part of an out-of-court settlement reached later that year.
