Apple vs. The Department of Justice
In April 2012, the U.S. DOJ sued Apple and five publishing companies, alleging that the parties colluded together in an effort to raise the price of eBooks. To date, three of the publishing companies have reached settlement agreements with the DOJ, leaving just Apple, Penguin, and MacMillan as the companies still in play.
