Apple sure likes to protect its trademarks, which is why it wasn't too surprising when Apple sued Sector Labs over its plan to trademark a video projector dubbed “Video Pod.” The case went to trial in 2010, where the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board found that Apple's "Pod" trademark was famous and was "therefore entitled to broad protection under U.S. trademark law.
