In Pictures: Who are tech’s highest paid CEOs?
Oracle’s Larry Ellison finally ousted from the top spot on our list of highest paid tech execs. We count them down from 50 to 1. (All figures in $US)
Marc Benioff, Salesforce.com CEO and chairman
Last year was a good one for Benioff, whose $20.8 million pay package -- which is more than double his $9.1 million compensation in 2010 -- included a $900,000 salary, $900,000 bonus, and equity awards valued at $19 million. During the same time period, Salesforce.com’s revenue increased 27% to $1.7 billion, compared to $1.3 billion in 2010. Net income, however, took a fall, declining 21% to $64 million in 2011 compared to $81 million in 2010.
