Protegic expands with two new senior appointments

Current and planned ambitious growth plans have seen two consulting partners join Protegic.

Protegic, one of Australia's fastest growing project management companies and a leader in ICT project management, has appointed two senior executives to the newly created positions of consulting partner.

Mr Stephen Price is consulting partner for the mining and resources sector, based in Perth, and Ms Devini Goonetilleke is consulting partner for the financial and utility industries, based in Melbourne.

Protegic CEO, David Thompson, said the appointments are key initiatives as part of its new business strategy, which will see stronger partnerships developed with clients.

"Both will work closely with myself and other members of the executive management team, looking after our existing clients and assisting in developing new accounts across Australia and Singapore," said Mr Thompson.

Mr Price has more than 25 years consulting and management experience in Australia, Malaysia and Hong Kong including with KPMG, Fujitsu, Sun Microsystems and Ernst & Young. His core expertise lies in advising customers on preparing for operational readiness; planning for the requisite people, processes and technology requirements. Most recently this was across the mining and resources industry.

With more than 20 years experience, Ms Goonetilleke has held numerous executive positions in the financial services sector. She has a reputation for successful end-to-end delivery of a diverse range of projects: new technology builds, product introductions, process transformations, platform conversions, major regulatory changes and strategic overhauls. She has strong leadership skills and a multi-disciplined insight with qualifications and experience that include an MBA, CPA, CFP, Prince 2 and Compliance.

"In a relatively short period of time, Protegic has performed exceptionally well in establishing itself as a leader in project management with a blue chip clientele and an expanding geographic base,” said Mr Thompson.

"Protegic supports organisations to drive strategy and business improvement through the application of common sense and best practice project management. We are excited to have Stephen and Devini on board sharing their experience and knowledge with our clients and the Protegic team," he added.
