Google Maps charts out Great Barrier Reef in high-resolution
The company has replaced its collection of low-detail maps with high-resolution satellite images.
Google Maps has updated its coverage of the Great Barrier Reef, replacing grainy, low-resolution images with detailed satellite imagery.
Google has been co-operating with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority to provide accurate images of the more than 2,500 km of Reef.
According to Google representatives, the new maps can be used to plan holidays, scope out dives and provide detailed and engaging teaching aides.
