Software and service vendor CDC Softwarehas acquired business intelligence (BI) consultancy firm PlanTec to extend it's market reach and capability of its Praxa Australia consulting subsidary. Praxa chairman John Clough said PlanTec customer list, which includes Ergon/Energex, Transpacific Industries, UniTAB, and Sydney Water, will bring the company more clients from state and federal governement.
"The acquisition of PlanTec is in line with Praxa's strategy to rapidly expand in the IT market in Australia which will better position us as a business consulting and software services company in the Queensland market," Clough said.
Brisbane based PlanTec specialises in BI solutions to the health, retail, commercial, relecommunications, utilities, and government sectors, and has about 30 employees in its Queensland and Sydney offices.
"Praxa has built a national client base of government and enterprise clients over the past 20 years, and the acquisition will strengthen PlanTec's portfolio of services and add greater depth to our BI offerings," Cloiugh said.
PlanTec has partnerships with a vendors such as Aussie IT darling Mincom, while it focuses on developing BI, enterprise document and content management solutions, and mobility solutions systems.
