Former Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) IT executive, Ray Bradbery, has been appointed A/NZ managing director for Swiss software company, E2E Technologies.

Bradbery joins the provider of Model Driven Integration (MDI) software with more than 30 years' experience in the IT industry, including 23 years with the CBA and seven years at Borland Software.

During his time with the CBA, Bradbery worked in senior operational, programming and executive roles, including a CIO role for the CBA Financial Services subsidiary.

For five years, he also lead a team within the bank which was responsible for strategic and tactical planning for the organisation's information services department.

He also held the title of executive manager for change and problem management in information systems and was seconded for two years to assist the Papua New Guinea Banking Corporation in a CIO role.

In 1994, Bradbery joined Borland Software and established the company's first professional services operation worldwide before being promoted to the role of A/NZ managing director.

During this time, he was at the forefront of Borland's transition from a channel-focused business to an enterprise software company.

In his final role with Borland as vice president, Asia Pacific, Bradbery established offices in India, South Korea and China and was also appointed chairman of Borland Software's executive committee.

E2E Technologies CEO, Serge Gansner, said Bradbery's proven technology expertise and skill at building strong customer relationships makes him the ideal choice to lead the local sales team.

He will promote the E2E Bridge which enables organisations to completely eliminate conventional programming of application interfaces because integration services, including microflows, composition, orchestration and business logic, are modelled in their entirety in UML and can be directly compiled and executed without having to write or generate code that is difficult to maintain. "In comparison to conventional EAI and SOA approaches, the quality and transparency of interface implementations is substantially improved and maintenance simplified since the documentation is the code," Gansner said describing this approach as a major breakthrough in software development.

Bradbery has a Master of Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Sydney. E2E was founded in 1996 and is headquartered in Basel (Switzerland), and has offices in Boston, Portland, London and Sydney.
