Debate It: Have you Virtualised?
Virtualisation is all the rage. Is this the case in your organisation?

Virtualisation has taken the enterprise space by storm over the last five years.

According to analyst firm Gartner, twice as many Australian businesses are using virtualisation compared to the rest of the world.

Between 8 and 9 percent of medium to enterprise businesses are virtualising their x86 servers, Gartner says, while global uptake remains at about 4 to 5 percent.

According to Unisys, that adoption rate includes only virtualised systems in production, and so the real figure could be even higher.

This new technology, it seems, is becoming mainstream, with the virtualisation software and services market in Asia/Pacific estimated to reach $US1.35 billion by 2010.
