Sydney, 15 June 2007 – Australia’s largest superannuation consulting practice, IQ Business Group (IQ), today announced the appointments of Elizabeth North to the position of General Manager of Operations Consulting Practice, and Brian Mitchell to the role of Account Executive.

Elizabeth brings to this role a twenty five year background in management, consulting and project roles for organisations within the Australian superannuation industry. She is a current active member of the ASFA 102 Administration Committee and is considered a specialist in superannuation administration systems development and maintenance.

Elizabeth will lead the team within IQ’s Operations Consulting Practice which partners with clients to strategise and execute operational programs and projects.

She will be based in the company’s Sydney office and will report directly to Graham Sammells, CEO for IQ Business Group in Australia.

“Elizabeth is an ideal leader for our Operations Consulting practice and I am delighted that she has joined our team. She has an innate ability to blend process, people and technology-designed solutions and our client base has already indicated that they value her pragmatic approach and capabilities,” outlined Sammells.

Brian Mitchell will be responsible for ongoing business development and account management from the consultancy’s Melbourne headquarters. His client roster will range from large superannuation funds and administrators to boutique operators.

Graham Sammells continued, “Brian’s twenty plus years experience in the industry, from both the customer and vendor perspective, is a fantastic insight into what makes software platforms perform in today’s highly regulated and competitive superannuation environment. We regard him as an asset to the organisation.”

Brian joins IQ from the role of General Manager of the Acurity division at systems vendor Financial Synergy. During his tenure he successfully delivered the Acurity platform for several very large superannuation funds while managing the growth of the division from 35 to 69 staff.
