ACS members now entitled to discounted Red Hat training

Sydney, Australia, 15 September 2005—Red Hat, Inc. (NASDAQ:RHAT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions to the enterprise, today announced that it has partnered with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) to offer its members discounted Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) training..

Peter Durie, Services Manager, Red Hat Australia, said, “We are very excited about the partnership with ACS. This is further proof that Linux has a strong and certain future in the Australian enterprise, and that the RHCE certification is highly regarded by the industry.”

Linux server shipments have been continuing to increase, and skilled people are in demand. As Red Hat is the leading Linux distribution, its Linux certifications have become the defacto industry standard, regularly rating highly in surveys and training comparisons.

ACS members can go to https://www.apac.redhat.com/training to conduct a pre-assessment to determine which Red Hat training course will best meet their needs, based on current skill level. Members can also register for training at the same address and should quote RHACS, together with their ACS membership number in the Special Offer Code Field, to redeem the discount.

Edward Mandla, National President, ACS, said, “This is a great initiative and provides an outstanding benefit for our members. We are looking forward to extending the partnership with Red Hat into other areas beyond training.”
