PIPE networks (ASX:PWK) subsidiary PIPE International (Australia) has completed all survey works on the planned new internet cable between Australia and Guam, and is ahead of schedule developing the required infrastructure and obtaining Government approval.

The planned PPC-1 submarine cable will link Sydney and Guam. The cable's Australian landing station is expected to be fully built by the end of the month, earlier than predicted.

Permit approval to operate and lay the cable is also expected two months ahead of schedule.

The PPC-1 cable system is expected to be fully constructed by 2009.
