Reporting Wave comes in
Radius90 signs up Melbourne systems integrator to carry its business reporting tools
Rob Irwin (ARN) 04/07/2007 12:00:34

Melbourne-based systems integrator, Wave Business, has begun distributing Radius90 business intelligence (BI) reporting tools from 90 Degree Software.

Radius90 is split into two products - Producer and Analyzer. The former is a report design tool for experienced BI users, while the latter allows inexperienced users to create reports based on the information pulled together by a user of Producer.

Wave Business CEO, Christopher Prince, said the business had become aware of Radius90 when an overseas colleague researched the software on behalf of a client.

"A colleague in our Hong Kong office was looking for a reporting solution for SQL," he said. "When he contacted 90 Degree, we learned they were looking for resellers."

While business users were expected to be well adept at using reporting tools, Prince claimed the reality was that they didn't have strong enough database and technical skills.

"Trained users can use Producer and less experienced users can then take the reports produced by those power users and create new information based on those paths," he said.

Prince said its reseller plans were at a very early stage but had begun discussions in both Australia and New Zealand.

"We'll be looking at resellers in particular vertical markets who are interested in providing Radius as part of their services," he said. "Telecommunications, health, manufacturing and government are the logical markets in Australia."
