Martin Paech has resigned from his position of CEO at ISP dingo blue, according to unconfirmed reports.
An source claims that Paech's departure was announced earlier today and he will be replaced by an AGL employee, who will take on the role of chief operating officer on a part-time basis, operating from Melbourne.
Paech's departure will surprise many as he will be leaving at an encouraging time for the ISP. Following the collapse of One.Tel in June, Paech was instrumental in dingo blue's appointment by the failed telco's administrators to provide service to its 200,000 One.Net customers. Industry analyst IDC reports that dingo blue had a subscriber base of 180,000 before the collapse of One.Net.
Dingo blue is owned by ASX-listed Australian Gas Light Company. At the time of writing, no formal announcement had been made about Paech on the ASX.
Both Paech and AGL group manager corporate affairs, Bill McLaughlan, were unavailable for immediate comment.
