Gigabit Ethernet secures the US and Canada border at Niagara Falls The Rainbow Bridge at Niagara Falls, relies on 10G Ethernet to monitor traffic and security. NFBC offices This joint US and Canada agency in Lewiston, New York, operates and monitors three border crossings in western New York and southern Ontario. NFBC IT Director Dave Woods Woods oversees NFBC's network of Foundry switches, HP servers, EMC storage arrays, video cameras and more. I Spy NFBC video cameras at one of the border crossings across the three bridges. In the NFBC data center. A Foundry BigIron RX4 core switch anchors the Gigabit and 10Gigabit Ethernet network. HP servers in the data center. Process video surveillance images on traffic conditions, physical security and usual and unusual activity. The NFBC Operations Center. NFBC personnel use data transmitted by the Ethernet network to monitor bridge activity, control camera angles and execute remote security measures. Room with a View. Video monitors in the NFBC Operation Center show multiple different angles of activity at each bridge. The Main Attraction.
