Contivo unveils updated data modeling product

Modeling and data integration company Contivo Inc. on Monday will release a new version of its Contivo EIM (Enterprise Integration Modeling) Solution that supports Web services, as well as provides better run-time functionality, a new parser, and improved testing and user interfaces.

The product, comprised of the Contivo EIM Server and Contivo Analyst, is designed to automate data transformation that takes place during application integration, according to company officials. Contivo uses a modeling-based approach that lets users build meta-data models of various data and message formats used for integration. These meta-data models include not only the structural information about XML formats and schemas but also the semantics that convey a common understanding of what the data means in a business context, Contivo said. These models are then housed in a repository and made available for re-use. New features in Version 3.5 include new map simulation to test models before run time; Java support for BEA WebLogic; enhanced XML schema support; additional webMethods platform support; and an XSLT Generator to boost performance; and smaller XSLT output files.

Available now, Contivo EIM Solution 3.5 is priced starting at $50,000.
