Getronics MD moves on
Lauren Thomsen-Moore 08/02/2002 11:11:46

Robin Nixon, managing director of Getronics Australia, has resigned, but won't be disappearing.

Dixon joined the service and solution provider, then known as Wang Australia, in 1997.

Since then, Dixon has steered the company through the acquisition of Olivetti's solution company, Olsy, and the acquisition of Wang Global by Getronics in 1999.

Dixon told Computerworld that, after five years of running the company, he felt it was time to move on.

"I want to do new things. Although I don't know what yet, I need to get outside the organisation to see what they might be," he said.

While Dixon's successor is yet to be announced, he hopes the announcement will be soon. Dixon said he believes Getronics will make a good decision when choosing the new managing director, and that he will support whoever is in the role during the hand over process.
