SuSE first Linux provider in SAP partner program

SuSE Linux AG and SAP AG announced Monday a global technology partnership. The partnership will enable companies around the world to use mySAP.com software on SuSE Linux Enterprise Server technology, while taking advantage of services and support from SAP.

SuSE Linux Enterprise Server for the 32-bit architecture, x86 hardware platform was awarded the status "generally available for my SAP.com" last year.

In a statement, SuSE said it is the first Linux enterprise operating system to enable SAP clients worldwide to run SAP's e-business application on open-source Linux operating system.
