Nine new Australian members join securities advisory board
Four regional boards for 6000 users in 42 countries

Provider of post-execution trade management services for the securities industry, Omgeo, today announced nine new members to its Australian advisory board bringing the total to 16.

Omgeo plays a key role in pre-settlement trade management within the global securities industry with more than 6000 users in 42 countries.

Omgeo operates four regional advisory boards in the Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), Asia and Australia.

The worldwide program is represented by a mix of large and small investment managers, broker/dealers and custodians who are actively using Omgeo's services or are participants in other industry associations.

One of the key initiatives currently being undertaken by the Australian advisory board is to increase fixed income counter-party coverage within the Omgeo community.

A working party has been formed that reports to the board, focusing on providing greater efficiencies to investment managers beyond equities.

The co-chairs of the advisory board include Macquarie Bank associate director, David Johnson, and Alpha Securities Pty Ltd director, George Karantzias.
