A free seminar designed to show IT professionals how to prepare, implement, and manage a disaster recovery plan begins in Sydney and Melbourne next month.
Designed as a "how to" event, the seminars will outline how to prepare a disaster recovery plan and will be presented jointly by Ernst & Young, Meta Group and system integrator SecureData Group.
Topics include analysing the impact of system interruption, communicating business plans to technologists to ensure the right solution is implemented, and overall IT portfolio management to understand the balance between cost and return.
Speakers will also examine insourcing verses outsourcing and how to align business continuity and disaster recovery plans as well as maximising ROI.
The Sydney seminar will be held on Friday, April 12 while the Melbourne event is Friday, May 17.
