OAKTON provides consulting and IT services. Neil Wilson, MD and CEO, made comment on the half year results and outlook: "In the first half of FY2008 Oakton has delivered strong organic growth, while continuing to deliver as planned the integration of Acumen Alliance and the development of our offshore operation. We are particularly pleased with the number of larger projects that have been secured in the first half."
SMS Management and Technology CEO Tom Stianos said the company has made good progress towards becoming a true end-to-end supplier. "During the last six months this objective involved restructuring our Enterprise Solutions division and investing to accelerate the growth of our Defence Solutions business. The company has also invested in growing its share of the Mining and Utilities industries and we are seeing signs of these industries making a bigger contribution."
TechnologyOne executive chairman Adrian Di Marco said that new contracts have clearly positioned the company as the solution of choice for Federal Government agencies, while the acquisition of Avand strengthens its position as a provider to the local government sector. "We also see long term opportunities to further expand the geographies we operate in, possibly to the US and/or China".
