IAnywhere Solutions has added support for several Asian languages to M-Business Anywhere with the release of version 6.0, the Sybase subsidiary said in a statement.
M-Business Anywhere allows users to access corporate applications and data from mobile devices. IAnywhere's AvantGo mobile information service, which the company said has 7 million subscribers, is based on the software.
The latest version of M-Business Anywhere adds support for double-byte characters with localized clients for Japanese and both the traditional and simplified forms of Chinese, iAnywhere said. The software already included support for English, French, Italian, Spanish and German.
In addition to support for Chinese and Japanese, M-Business Anywhere 6.0 includes an improved administration interface, integrated password protection for data stored on mobile devices, and a server-caching capability that reduces the time users require to synchronize the data on their devices, iAnywhere said.
M-Business Anywhere 6.0 anywhere is currently shipping. Pricing was not available.
