Trans-Tasman ICT provider, Gen-i Australasia inked deals worth more than $100 million in 2007 including the NSW Police and Tarong Energy.
Other contracts the company has won include the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX), Angus Knight, the Heart Fuondation, Norfolk, Perpetual and Insurance Australia Group, just to name a few.
Projects are varied with the ASX rolling out a Nortel VoIP solution and Angus Knight undertaking a data centre relocation as well as a Citrix and Microsoft consolidation.
TRIM information management projects are being rolled out at NSW Police and Perpetual while Gen-i implements a SharePoint 2007 collaboration solution at Norfolk.
Gen-i is undertaking a range of application development projects at IAG and Tarong Energy.
Gen-i Australia general manager, Rhoda Holmes, said the company has also resigned with Aon Risk Insurance for whole of business telecommunication services in Australia and New Zealand.
"The new 36-month contact covers voice, data and Internet services in Australia and voice, data and mobile services in New Zealand," Holmes said.
"These wins reflect Gen-i's growing success in the Australian market, adding to our trans-Tasman base of customers such as Carter Holt Harvey and Lion Nathan."
Holmes said in 2008 Gen-i's focus is on unified communications, application delivery and virtualisation.
In 2004 Gen-i was purchased by Telecom New Zealand and merged with TCNZA. Gen-i Australasia is now a trans-tasman organisation of over 1,500 staff.
