QBE Insurance adopts rules driven technology
Sandra Rossi 13/09/2005 10:25:05

QBE's Australia Pacific Asia Central Europe Division (APACE) is introducing rules-driven technology to improve the company's business process management (BPM) capabilities.

The goal is to help manage its international operations and externalize many of its business processes.

QBE Insurance Group, one of the top 25 insurers worldwide, selected Pegasystems' PegaRules Process Commander technology.

QBE management services general manager John Murphy said the insurance company performed extensive due diligence before the deal and will use PegaRules as a cornerstone of its enterprise architecture.

Pegasystems Asia Pacific managing director Bruce Quick said QBE has joined a growing list of companies that are adopting rules-driven BPM solutions for greater agility and compliance.

QBE Insurance Group has $4.2 billion in gross premiums under management, with about 5500 employees.
