Red Sheriff sets sights on Asia-Pacific
Sarah Keegan 04/07/2000 12:01:01

Red Sheriff, currently providing its specialist range of internet reporting services in 10 countries, aims to expand its operations in Asia by opening new offices in Singapore and New Zealand.

The Singapore office, opening within the next month, will offer Asian clients access to a tailored suite of internet research and audience measurement services. Red Sheriff's New Zealand office was expected to commence operations yesterday.

"We are building a solid market reputation and have been very pleased with the positive response by (our) clients to the specialist range of internet reporting services that we currently provide in 10 countries to date," according to Richard Webb, Red Sheriff's chief operating officer.

"This year the company has embarked on a highly successful and aggressive international expansion program," he said.

Webb believes that Red Sheriff's expansion into Asia was "a natural progression for the company in the region".

"We intend to continue to significantly increase the scope of the company's off-shore operations and extend our leadership to include key local regional markets such as Japan and Hong Kong by the end of this year," Webb said.

"Asia presents us with the opportunity to build and deliver global services and is a key regional market for us," according to Vivienne Feyen, Red Sheriff's global marketing and communication director.

The Asian expansion follows Red Sheriff's recent launch of its measurement services in the UK. The company launched its RedMeasure product, claimed to be the first browser-based audience measurement technology, in the UK.

Together with its Italian-based joint venture partner, AGB, Red Sheriff will also launch its range of specialist internet research and measurement systems in Turkey this month.

"We are continuing to forge partnerships with recognised global industry leaders such as global communication services giant WPP, the AGB Group and Suomen Gallup, allowing us to effectively service our rapid international expansion," said Webb.

"Our business is growing at a rate of 20 per cent plus a month and we already operate a multimillion-dollar operation that is increasing its global reach every month. We aim to replicate this success in Asia," added Feyen.

"Our future growth is targeted at the key markets of Australia, the UK, Italy, Germany, France, the US, Japan and Canada," Feyen said.
