Though the MacBook Air is substantially thinner than the 17-in. MacBook Pro (pictured, rear), it has about the same footprint as a MacBook The MacBook Air (right) is just 0.16-in. thick in the front, noticeably thinner than the 17-in. MacBook Pro. The MacBook Air uses the same keyboard as the MacBook, but glows in dim light like the keyboard on the MacBook Pro. Note the new oversized trackpad. The Keyboard & Mouse system preference pane shows new multitouch functions available with the trackpad The MacBook Air's Install Disk is used to install Remote Disk software on a second computer for optical drive sharing Apple's Migration Assistant now allows you to move files from your old computer wirelessly The Sharing preference pane on the second computer shows how Remote Disk options are set The MacBook Air's three ports (headphone, USB and micro-DVI) are hidden behind a small drop-down door
