Logica Pulls Out of New Zealand
Randal Jackson 09/08/1999 12:01:01

Logica has disbanded its New Zealand operation, which will be now run from Australia.

Country Manager Ewen Ritchie and about five staff have been made redundant.

Logica Australasia Chief Executive Officer Andrew Tindell says the company wants to do more systems integration and less body-shopping. That will be handled from Sydney, using offshore teams. "We've already moved a lot of the New Zealand people to Sydney and Melbourne," he says.

The company will relinquish the naming rights on its Wellington building, but will retain its legal entity in New Zealand.
