Brief: Informix Reorganizes, Cuts Jobs
SAN MATEO (08/14/2000) - Focusing on simplicity, Informix Corp. last week said it had taken its five business units and condensed them into two -- database business operations and solutions business operations -- as a way to better focus its sales, marketing, and development efforts. The company confirmed that the restructuring will entail the loss of about 500 jobs.
