3Com ppoints new Regional Product Marketing Manager

AUSTRALIA – 14 December 2007 – 3Com Corporation today announced that Lee Yee Shiean has been appointed as the new Regional Product Marketing Manager for 3Com Asia Pacific.

He is responsible for driving product and solution marketing programs across the region for 3Com’s enterprise and SMB portfolios. Yee Shiean is also the primary interface for 3Com’s Product Lifecycle Management initiatives, working closely with 3Com’s regional field sales teams and network of channel partners.

“Yee Shiean has seven years of experience in marketing and has expert level knowledge on enterprise data networking with a strong focus on LAN, WAN and security,” said Peter Chai, Vice President & General Manager (Asia Pacific), 3Com Corporation. “With his insights and experience on the competitive landscape for the networking industry, we are confident he will be able to grow 3Com’s two key product segments in the large enterprise and SMB markets across the region.”

Before joining 3Com, Yee Shiean was Product Marketing Manager for HP ProCurve in the Asia Pacific region including Japan. While at HP ProCurve, Yee Shiean managed product marketing activities across the region and headed product lifecycle management, go-to-market strategy, plan-of-record, end-of-life and competitive analysis.

Prior to that, Yee Shiean was Technical / Project Manager at SonicWALL covering the South Asia market, where he managed presales activities, account qualification, and partner training. Another previous appointment was Product Marketing Manager at Nortel’s Intelligence Internet Division where he developed product features, training programs and sales kits as well as liaised with Nortel’s technical team and distributors across Asia.

Yee Shiean graduated with a MBA in International Business from the University of Western Sydney, Australia.
