Kensington
http://www.kensington.com/Kensington was founded in 1981 with the invention of the System Saver, a combined cooling fan and surge protector that became the number-one-selling peripheral for the Apple II. Now, more than 300 computer accessory products comprise the Kensington inventory; to include: mobile power and docking stations, mice and keyboards, notebook cases, security cables, iPod accessories and more.
Kensington is the world’s number one seller of notebook locks, providing world class, industry leading physical computer security. These locks secure notebooks, desktop computers, tablet PCs, projectors, printers and other computing devices.
All Kensington locks are built to exacting engineering standards. Kensington has worked with internal and external testers, engineers, and quality control experts to come up with comprehensive testing standards for all Kensington computer locks. Kensington has designated three levels of security SAFE Premium, SAFE Pro and SAFE to rate all of our security products to better provide the right security product to use - the higher the SAFE rating, the greater the security of the lock.
SAFE Premium: Expert level security from Kensington.
These locks are manufactured to exceed industry standards. The specialized locks are tested by multiple third party agencies under severe and critical test conditions. These locks are rated as the highest grade of notebook locks.
SAFE Pro: Superior level security from Kensington.
These locks are manufactured to industry standard requirements. The locks are tested by third party testing agencies for their ability to withstand attacks. Tests are conducted under stringent test conditions.
SAFE: Strong level security from Kensington.
Use these as a great first line of defense against laptop theft. These are tested and engineered to exacting Kensington standards.
The Kensington Security Slot has been the industry standard since 1990, giving customers the best option for physical security of computer and electronic equipment (including Notebooks, Desktops, Flat Panel Monitors, Projectors, Servers, Printers, etc).
Major computer companies like Dell, Compaq, IBM, HP and Toshiba have adopted the Kensington Security Slot as a standard security solution.
Kensington also provides custom keyed solutions – ideal for use with multiple workstations.
Kensington is the industry leader in custom locking systems. And ordering a customized version of one of our patented notebook or desktop computer locks couldn't be easier! Once your customer has selected the Custom Locking System from Kensington that meets their needs, they need to decide how many they require. There is a minimum order quantity of 25 units. There is no longer any need to order in increments of 25. Once the initial 25 unit minimum is met, the order can be for any amount over that. If you are re-ordering locks to an existing system you have in place, make sure you know your key code so we can build more locks to the same code.
Kensington Computer Products Group, headquartered in Redwood Shores, California, is the technology division of ACCO Brands Company (NYSE:ABD), a world leader in branded office products, with annual revenues of nearly $2 billion and products marketed in more than 100 countries across the globe.
